General Homework is normally given Monday-Thursday. Please check your child's 'To Do' side of their folder for homework activities and important information that needs to be returned to school.
Reading Practice reading with expression and for meaning. Practice recalling the setting, characters and details as well as sequencing events in stories.
Writing Practice writing sentences that begin with upper case letters and end with periods. Please also have your child work on sounding out words to write them using 'kindergarten spelling.' We count the sounds we hear in words on our fingers and match a letter to each sound that we hear, then write those letters!
Math Practice recognizing and writing numbers 1-30 and counting from 1 to 100. Practice counting by 2's, 5's and by 10's .
Personal Please have your child work on learning their birthdate, telephone number and address (street, city, state).
Announcements
Please be sure to send your child two snacks each day, one for the morning and one for the afternoon. If your child needs a spoon or fork to eat their snack please be sure to send one from home with their snack. We don't always have spoons and forks in the classroom.
If your child is buying lunch, please put their name on their lunch money envelope or ziploc bag! If you want your child to have a specific item on the lunch menu when they buy lunch feel free to write it on their lunch money bag or send in a note!
